Britain’s ‘Security Service’, Military Intelligence Five is active across all 32 Counties of Ireland and controls policing on an All Ireland Basis.
In the Occupied Six Counties its operations are based out of Palace Barracks, while in the Free State it operates from the Garda Headquarters in the Phoenix Park, under the leadership of Drew Harris.
A long time MI5 operative, since being appointed commissioner of the Free State Police, Harris has appointed other MI5 and ex RUC officers to leading roles in policing In the 26 Counties and cooperation with the RUC/PSNI has been stepped up under the direction of MI5.
Along with controlling policing in Ireland, MI5 are also in control of the tiny far right through operatives such as Rowan Croft and Herman Kelly and are using the police and the far right to wage an anti republican campaign across Ireland, including developing links between the far right and loyalism.
This is nothing new. The Free State Police have always been a British Police Force and were established under a British Act of Parliament and used to suppress the All Ireland Republic in 1922 and continue to do so to this day.
The harassment experienced by republicans across Ireland on a daily basis is being direct by MI5. Nothing demonstrates clearer that the Free State remains a semi colony then the fact that the British Security Services control policing across Ireland.
But there is a simple method to address this situation, and that is to rebuild the Republican Struggle for National Liberation and Socialism on a 32 County Basis and build a movement capable of defeating British Imperialism once and for all and Rebuild the All Ireland Republic.
