As part of the annual week of international events to demand freedom for Ahmad Sa’adat organised by Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Anti Imperialist Action Ireland organised a number of Solidarity events across the country.
Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation Of Palestine and a leader of the Palestinian National Resistance has been illegally imprisoned for 20 years and has led a number of hungerstrikes and has been held in solidarity confinement by the Zionist Terrorists in Palestine.
Dublin:
In Dublin Socialist Republicans organised a number of events to demonstrate Solidarity with Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat including postering and graffiti across the city demanding Freedom for the imprisoned General Secretary of the PFLP, and an information stall distributing hundreds of leaflets highlighting his case. To wrap up the week of activism AIA organised a vigil on Dublin’s Henry St on Saturday Jan 22nd. All events received a great response from the general public, who are strongly supportive of Palestinian National Liberation.
Waterford:
Socialist Republicans in Waterford marked the international week of Solidarity with Ahmad Sa’adat on Saturday January 15, with a vigil in Red Square, Waterford City, at which PFLP flags, Palestinian Flags and posters of Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat were displayed. During the vigil hundreds of leaflets were distributed and there was strong support shown by the People of Waterford. Following the vigil activists erected posters across Waterford City demanding Freedom for Ahmad Sa’adat.
Wicklow:
In Arklow, County Wicklow, Socialist Republicans took part in the Solidarity Week by erecting AIA’s Free Ahmad Sa’adat’s Poster across the South Wicklow Town.
Anti Imperialist Action Ireland Ireland stand in full solidarity with our Comrades the Popular Front for the Liberation Of Palestine and with Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat. AIA demand immediate Freedom for Ahmad Sa’adat and commend Samidoun and all around the world who took action to raise solidarity this week.
