John Jenkins RIP

Irish Socialist Republicans and Anti Imperialist Action Ireland sends its sympathies and condolences to the family and comrades of Welsh socialist republican John Jenkins who has passed away.

Jenkins was a member and leader of Mudiad Amddiffyn Cymru (MAC) a clandestine Welsh republican seperatist movement. MAC carried out a bombing campaign against British infrastructure and symbolism in Wales from 1962 onwards.

The movement took on a more active and operational campaign after Jenkins took the reigns of the movement and is believed to have first used the “cell structure” characteristic of later revolutionary movements.

Jenkins was sentenced to ten years imprisonment as a result of his revolutionary activities.

Having served with the British army overseas Jenkins knew the only language the British Empire has ever understood.
