Loyalists are the stormtroopers of British imperialism in Ireland

Since the beginning of the 20th century Loyalism has attempted to disrupt and stop any vestige of Irish national independence.

In more recent times Ulster Loyalism has been organised, trained, armed and ran by British Imperialism in order to terrorise the Irish people and keep them divided on sectarian lines.

This month as Irish Republicans commemorate Wolfe Tone we remember his famous quote:

“To unite the whole people of Ireland, to abolish the memory of past dissensions, and to substitute the common name of Irishman, in place of the denominations of Protestant, Catholic and Dissenter, these were my means.”

Tone by intiating the 1798 Rising understood that all of Irelands ills could only be resolved once British rule was ended and one of those ills, sectarianism could never be truly resolved until British rule was ended.

British rule in Ireland serves neither the Protestant working class nor the Catholic working class and merely pits them against one another in a perpetual competition for crumbs off the Stormont table.

Funding was a measure British imperialism used in an attempt to disarm the nationalist community and continues to be used as a tactic to keep communities divided.

As Loyalism feels the existential siege mentality of the colonial settler the British state has began whipping up loyalist fears in the interest of their inter-imperialist conflict with the European Union bloc.

Ireland is the battleground for imperialism in Ireland and its strategic importance is clear for all to see.

We Serve Neither EU, Brit or US imperialism but Ireland!
