Max Ajl is a Marxist and a food systems researcher. He has recently published a book “A People’s Green New Deal”.
We spoke with Max about Palestine, the Imperial “food” system which is killing the Earth, and some solutions we can work towards.
This is a vitally important topic which Republicans and Socialists in Ireland do not pay much attention to. It is also a topic which “permaculture”-style farmers in Ireland are not very connected to radical social movements as their forebears may have been in the past.
Linking these and other groups is a key task going forward, and researchers such as Max Ajl can play an important role in bringing together the information and models we need.
