Today, Anti Imperialist Action in Dublin Occupied the entrance of the Jones Lang LaSalle office in Dublin, as well as picketing the building outside. JLL is an enormous real estate multinational, established in Britain, which has major investments in Occupied Palestine, as well as acting as landlord for Elbit Systems, the largest Zionist weapons producer. Palestine Action in Britain have taken heroic direct action against both Elbit and JLL and it is time the Irish people take similar action.
The picket outside chanted militant pro-Palestinian slogans such as “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, “Shut Down Elbit”, “JLL, Out Out Out” and various others denouncing the Zionist Occupation. Leaflets were handed out to passerbys explaining the action, with a great deal of support despite the bourgeois location.
Activists inside occupied the entrance for approximately an hour, being prevented from entering the JLL offices by private security. Stickers supporting the Palestinian Resistance were placed inside. Later the activists were removed by Gardaí in yet another example of Free State complicity with the occupation of Palestine.
Companies like JLL which profit off of the genocide and slaughter of the Palestinian people will never be welcome in Ireland. Anti Imperialist Action will continue to protest and take direct action against these profiteers and all those who collaborate with the Zionist regime.
