Due to the significant growth in young people joining the ranks of the revolutionary movement it has been decided by a national conference of youth from across the country to establish a new anti-imperialist youth organisation: Óige Réabhlóideach – Anti Imperialist Youth.
The young people of Ireland are sick and tired of empty promises and of begging for concessions. In opposition to this dead-end politics, ÓR is building a movement that is tackling head-on the forces that are creating and profiting from the housing crisis, the cost of living crisis, the environmental crisis, and all the other horrors and miseries of our day that amount, at bottom, to the crisis of imperialism and capitalism. With their system in decay comes the moment of our ripening, when a new Ireland, a new world, will at last be brought into being.
Before his execution by the Free State one hundred years ago the republican Liam Mellows wisely advised his comrades outside prison that the salvation of Ireland lies with the youth and the ability of the revolutionary forces to organise and mobilise them. Well none better suited to this task than the Revolutionary Youth of Ireland. Join our growing ranks today and let us make our future one worth living in.
